7 Rays 7 Days 7 Ways is a 17min 20sec track of experimental ambient drone pulsations and textures which progress through various large blooms exploring The Seven Rays, an occult concept that has appeared in several religions and esoteric philosophies, since at least the 6th century BCE. There are 7 movements within the piece and each one addresses each of the following as discussed by Theosophist and writer C.W. Leadbeater; First ray: Magic of Will of magician. Second ray: Magic of Raja Yoga (Development of Mind). Third ray: Magic of Astrology (Natural Magnetic Forces). Fourth ray: Magic of Hatha Yoga (physical development). Fifth ray: Magic of Alchemy (Manipulation of Material Substances). Sixth ray: Magic of Bhakti Yoga (Selfless Service and Altruistic Love; agape). Seventh ray: Ceremonial magic (Invocation of Elementals, and Devas). The single is being released near the Pagan day of Lughnasadh which occurs on Monday 1st of August. The cover artwork is by myself and is in homage to Caravaggio’s Boy Bitten by a Lizard (1594-1596). Thunder strikes of chaos spark out of the foreground figure while bubbles of disintegration and harmonious yantra metamorphose into a no-mind Zedian figure standing in the background, slowly melting into nothingness. 7 Rays 7 Days 7 Ways was originally released onto streaming platforms on the 29th July 2016.
