about

“When one dies, earth returns to and merges with the earth-body; water returns to and merges with the water-body; fire returns to and merges with the fire-body; air returns to and merges with the air-body; the faculties are transferred to space.” - Buddhawajana, The Sotapanna Handbook.

Subsuming the Realm of Form was first released on the Sussex based Net/Tape label HREA’M Recordings in a limited edition of 22 cassette tapes with a signed postcard. In November 2021 HREA’M Recordings ceased to release music.

Subsuming the Realm of Form by Sheer Zed features two 22min meditational tracks of evolving, robust and richly textured experimental ambient drone slabs thick with resonance, which crystallize Sheer Zed’s fascination in the ritualistic aspects of sound.

Sheer Zed would like to thank Darren at HREA’M Recordings, Andy Wood and all the subscribers of TQ zine, Mum, Venerable Ajarn Kukrit Sotthibalo, Rahu and Ketu.
