about

“Let the tabby drowse and blink her wisdom to the firelog. ” – Patience Worth.

Junk by Patience Worth (Sheer Zed's Phantom Spirit Remix) the all time classic cassette culture gem Junk by Patience Worth (aka Dave Bush) was first released in conjunction with the label TQN-aut and the NOISE-ARCH archive. This is was originally made available in a strictly limited edition CDr of 44 copies with a badge and digital download format on the now sadly defunct TQN-aut label (TQN-aut 5).

This work takes the original album as a touch stone while deconstructing, re-imagining and filling it to the scaly gills with numerous numinous presences for your phantasmagorical enjoyment and private occult pleasures. This robustly diabolical double album of highly experimental sounds is a thick witch’s brew of magickal essences traversing, bending and blending the genres of dark ambient, ambient, drone, noise, glitch and cut-up technique.

This double album remix is dedicated with thanks to Andy Wood, David Howcroft, Dave Bush (aka Patience Worth), Myke Dyer (NOISE-ARCH archive), Jason Scott, Graham Stewart, Mark Lougheed, Ash Cooke, Jonas Halsall (aka Drooping Finger), Pearl Lenore Curran and the spirits Patience Worth and Sensei Orishi.

A detailed five page essay on the genesis of this project, original cover art and promotional photographs are included with the download.
